New information on Turku shooting: Victim seriously injured

A 40-year-old man was seriously injured in a shooting in Turku on Monday. The case is being investigated as two cases of attempted murder.

A 40-year-old man was shot in Hebokulla, Turku on Monday afternoon.

According to a police release, after the shooting, the victim and the two suspects took off in a black Merzu towards Tampere. Police nabbed them at a bus stop at the junction of Tampere Highway and Vahdondi.

The victim was seriously injured in the shooting. He was taken to hospital.

– The people involved in the situation know each other. According to the police, the crime commissioner, who is heading the investigation, says that the men had some sort of dispute with each other. Mika Paar Police Bulletin.

Police say two murder attempts against different people are now suspected in the case. Also, two shooting offenses are being investigated in this case.

The South West Finland Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward with their information.
