Usyk wins by unanimous decision to become undisputed heavyweight champion of the world – Fury’s first professional loss | game

Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk defeated Britain’s Tyson Fury by unanimous decision to become the undisputed heavyweight boxing champion of the world.

Both men went into their meeting undefeated, so the loss was the first of Fury’s career. Usyk, on the other hand, remains undefeated, joining the ranks of previous undisputed heavyweight champions such as Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis and Mike Tyson.

Usyk previously held the IBF, IBO, WBO and WBA championships. He now holds the WBC Championship from Fury.

After winning everything possible in the lower heavyweight division, Usyk began moving up to a heavier weight class six years ago.

Two judges scored the victory for Usyk with scores of 115-112 and 114-113, while the third gave it to Fury with a score of 114-113.

Usyk has won all 22 of his professional bouts. Fury, on the other hand, has won 33 of his 35 professional fights.

“The Ukrainians are hitting hard!”

Usic, 37, described the win as a great opportunity for him, his family and his country. Usyk briefly served as a soldier after Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

– Ukrainians attack hard! “In the end all our enemies will fall,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared on social media after Usyk’s victory.

– Great moment, great day, Usyk said after his victory, adding that he is ready to compete again.

Usyk and Fury will meet again in October.

Despite Usyk’s disappointment, Fury described the meeting between the two as fantastic, but he disagreed with the outcome of the match.

“I think I won that fight, I think he won a few rounds, but I won most of them,” Fury declared after his loss.

– His country is at war, so the people are on the country’s side in the war, he said, and then he thought he won the contest.

Previous Undisputed Champion 1999

The two undefeated world heavyweight boxing champions first clashed in the 1971 world championship match, when Joe Frazier defeated Muhammad Ali in what has been called the fight of the century in boxing history.

The undisputed heavyweight champion was now crowned for the first time in a quarter of a century. The last time all the championship belts were won was British Lennox Lewis, who defeated American Evander Holyfield in 1999. At that time there were three belts.
