DC Divas Serve Up 35-0 Win Over Central PA

LANDOVER, Md. -- Fresh off a 43-0 win over Central PA a week ago the Divas took to the field again to face the Vipers. Kathryn Hemlock led the way for the Divas, returning two punts for touchdowns. Allyson Hamlin threw in the early going for the Divas and was effective on the run. She was replaced by Amy Britton after the Divas took a 28-0 lead in the third quarter.
With their win over the Vipers the Divas improve to a 2-2 overall record. Their two losses this season come at the hands of Boston and Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh, with a 5-0 record, is the winningest team in the league right now. The Divas will have an opportunity for a rematch when they face the Passion in their final regular season game on June 14th.
The Divas now look ahead to next weekend's game against the Baltimore Nighthawks. After the Nighthawks defeated the Vipers in their opening game on April 12, they've fallen behind in the standings with 4 losses. Their last game, against the Pittsburgh Passion, as a 28-0 shutout.
